All of these people are an important part of the creative team and are often involved in the selection of actors for a given project. The act4tv Group aims to improve an actor’s knowledge of all these creative areas in the industry, through our workshops. In addition, we aim to create opportunities for students to meet and work with the people who are working and involved in the industry, today.
Previous tutors at our workshops have included:
Noreen Kershaw, Jordan Hogg, Lewis Arnold, Chris Lunt, Paul Murphy, Tom Sherry, Jane Anderson, Rick Laxton, Daniel Edwards, Jonny Boutwood, Seth Mason, Sonia Allam, Mickey Jones, David Martin & Beverley Keogh…
The safety of our actors, the tutors and our staff is extremely important to us. With this in mind, all “Workshops” at act4tv have been suspended and these will only resume when it is deemed safe to do so. Until further notice, the classes for our regular students “In The Classroom” at Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool will be held online.
The workshop is educational and should not be considered as a job interview or audition. Attending workshops is not a way to obtain employment as an actor. It is a learning/educational experience. The presence of a Casting Director is neither a guarantee nor a promise of employment. Contact with a Casting Director at a workshop rarely results in any further contact with that Casting Director, Director, Producer or any company affiliated with that Casting Director.
