Who we are…

act4tv was founded in 2009 by the talented Casting Director Michael Jackson. With over two decades of experience at the renowned Beverley Keogh Casting, Michael has worked with some of the world’s biggest brands, including Sony, Nike, McDonald’s, and more. As a Casting Director, Michael knows first hand the importance of being prepared for auditions. That’s why he founded act4tv – to teach actors how to succeed in the art of auditioning. This crucial skill is essential for landing roles in both Drama and Commercial projects, and Casting Directors have strong memories for well-prepared (and unprepared) auditions.

act4tv provides professional screen acting classes to people aged 8-80 in Manchester, Leeds & Liverpool.

What we do…
act4tv offers actors training with a difference. Rather than just focusing on when actors have got the job, we help to develop the skills and techniques required when auditioning for a role in TV or film. Classes are limited to a maximum of 10 students to ensure our students get sufficient time to rehearse, perform and gain invaluable feedback from their tutors. Students will be sent a link to the footage filmed in class which can then be used to review progress or it can be downloaded and used as you please. We also provide lots of industry workshops, agent panels and online competitions throughout the year, not to mention our annual film festival!

act4tv is a Spotlight accredited training programme.
This means that after 2 years of consecutive training with us, students will be eligible for Spotlight.
